Making the Most of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party: 10 Essential Tips
Are you ready to experience a spook-tacular and enchanting Halloween like never before? Look no further than Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World! This annual special event is the perfect combination of family-friendly frights, fantastic entertainment, and, of course, all the Disney
magic you love. To help you make the most of this bewitching occasion, I'm sharing ten essential tips to make sure you have an unforgettable experience.
1. Buy Tickets in Advance The popularity of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party means that tickets will sell out. To avoid disappointment, be sure to purchase your tickets in advance. Trust me; you won't want to miss this spook-tacular event! If you booked your vacation through a travel agent, they can help you book those tickets, so make sure to contact them to help you!
2. Arrive Early for Bonus Fun As a party guest, you can enter the Magic Kingdom at 4pm, a few hours before the official start time. Take advantage of this extra time to enjoy some of your favorite attractions and soak in the festive atmosphere.
3. Dress the Part Costumes are not just allowed; they're encouraged! Dress up as your favorite Disney character, but make sure your costume complies with Disney's guidelines. Remember, no masks for guests over 14 and no weapons—safety first! Something else to keep in mind - the weather! Florida is still HOT in October, so make sure whatever you wear is comfortable!
4. Strategize Your Trick-or-Treating Candy lovers, rejoice!
Trick-or-treating is a big part of the event (even adults can trick-or-treat), and you can collect plenty of sweets throughout the park. Bring a reusable bag or backpack to gather your treats and consider hitting up lesser-known treat locations (check your party map for all of the locations) to avoid long lines. They give you small trick-or-treat bags, but it is definitely not enough to carry all of the candy. I PROMISE you will want that extra bag to put all of your candy in!
5. Enjoy Exclusive Entertainment The party offers exclusive entertainment that you won't find during regular park hours. Don't miss the iconic "Boo To You" parade or the "Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular," featuring your favorite Disney Villains.
6. Meet Rare Characters One of the highlights of the event is the opportunity to meet rare characters in unique costumes. Check the schedule in advance to plan your character encounters and make the most of your time. These lines can be very long, so if this is something that is important to you, make sure that you set aside the appropriate amount of time
7. Capture Magical Memories With the park decorated in Halloween splendor, you'll find special photo opportunities everywhere. Be on the lookout for unique backdrops and props that are only available during the party.
8. Take Advantage of Exclusive Attractions Enjoy popular rides and attractions with shorter wait times during the event. Some rides even get a special Halloween makeover, adding to the festive experience. Make sure you check your party map for those rides with the special Halloween additions!
9. Plan Your Dining Eat before you go! Make a reservation somewhere around 2pm so you can be done in time to head to the party. You will want to spend the time at the party enjoying it, you won't want to take too much time to sit and eat. If you eat before you go, you should be able to eat the special Halloween themed snacks and be satisfied!
10. Don't Miss the Fireworks As the night comes to a close, gather around Cinderella Castle for the extraordinary "Happy HalloWishes" fireworks show. It's my personal favorite fireworks show ever, I promise you won't want to miss it!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a fun event for Disney fans of all ages. With these ten essential tips in hand, you're all set to have a hauntingly delightful time. So wear your spookiest costume, grab your treat bag, and get ready for a night of Disney magic and Halloween thrills like no other! Happy haunting, everyone!
